Rainfall came to be when three guys with a love for guitars, singing, and gospel music met at Nativity Lutheran Church in Minneapolis, MN. Performing original music, with words that come from the heart, you can see and feel the passion of what they do. The three baritone/bass voices blend together making music to sit back, relax, listen, and enjoy.
Lee Gilbertson, on guitar, enjoys playing a variety of musical styles. He also plays in a rock-n-rock oldies band. Lee’s guitar leads accent the Rainfall sound. With a clear baritone voice, Lee makes the songs come alive. Lee’s songs written for special occasions tug at your heart and speak to your soul.
Mike Forsberg is a treat on the electric bass. Mike makes the bass sing. Smooth runs, driving beats, great rhythms, fill in the sound of the group fantastic. Mike has played bass for many years in multiple groups and that experience helps make the Rainfall sound complete. His quick wit lightens up the day.
Duane Johnson has been playing guitar since high school. He has been in the folk/gospel music genre since college. He has toured the country singing in folk/gospel groups spreading the gospel story. Duane’s original songs speak words expressing feelings of joy, doubt, comfort, and praise.
Together these three guys make a joyful sound, compelling you to sing along, and drawing you into hearing the words of the gospel.
